SAC Financial Aid Motion Graphic Video
For my last class at Santa Ana College, my team and I were tasked with creating a motion graphic video for one of SAC's faculty, offices, or classes. We chose the Financial Aid office, aiming to help students see the five plus ways they can get help paying for college. My role was editor — I assembled and paced the final cut, and animated the grants section. I focused on keeping the pacing quick enough to hold attention without losing clarity on the actual details.
Tools used: After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
Final thoughts: This project pushed me to learn fast alongside teammates who, like me, hadn't worked in After Effects before. We problem-solved a lot of the animation techniques together, and it taught me how much smoother a project moves when a team communicates openly about what's working and what isn't. Our professor is currently in talks with the Financial Aid office about approving the video for use with students.
